Mill loft of the Amstel brewery in Amsterdam

The Amstel brewery was founded in 1870 and taken over by Heineken in 1968. The oldest corporate film in the Heineken Collection contains a scene that closely resembles this photograph. The corporate film was recorded in the Amstel brewery in 1927-1928. See inventory number 10623. The barley was pneumatically extracted from the ship in which it was delivered and moved to the lofts.
