Alien moon female, related to Heineken's commercial 'What a wonderful world' - gift to the employees
This alien moon female is related to the alien moon male and female that featured in three Heineken commercials themed ‘What a wonderful world’ from 1988-1989, with music by jazz musician Louis Armstrong (1901-1971). In it, a pair of green moon aliens sit on the moon and watch the earth ‘rise’. The earth turns into the Heineken logo and the male gets emotional and swallows as he looks at his female. She looks back and the music of ‘What a wonderful world it could be’ sounds.
Staff at Heineken Brewery's Physical Distribution department were given a small replica, like this one, of the original puppets from the films at a staff meeting in celebration of cooperation and service. The staff magazine 'Fresh from the barrel' stated: ‘The theme day was fittingly concluded with the ‘moon men’ from the Heineken commercial, symbolising Heineken's ‘wonderful world’ as a result of the joint quality effort.
